Period mansion flat, SW1P

This bijou 2 bedroom flat in the heart of Victoria is used as a pied-a-terre by its owners who live outside of London.  Set in a beautiful turn of the century apartment block, this basement flat was bursting with period features – it was simply tired, unloved and in need of a refresh.  Our brief was to inject colour, charm and warmth and turn a functional flat into an inviting home from home – whilst being respectful of the history and grandeur of the building.

It is a great pleasure to recommend Brooke, and it has been an absolute joy to work with her on the complete refurbishment of our London home. We visit London frequently for work and pleasure but the property was looking very tired and we were hoping to create something colourful and comfortable, whilst being mindful of the history and grandeur of the building. Brooke expertly guided us through every stage of the process, from initial concept and design, through project management to final completion. With Brooke, we were inspired to make choices that were more design-led and daring, but somehow always perfectly in keeping with our own taste. Brooke has an impeccable approach to interiors and eye for detail that doesn’t feel fussy or false. We now have the perfect bolt hole to visit, right in the heart of the city, ideal for entertaining guests or relaxing with the family. The whole process has actually been very enjoyable - we are almost sorry it has come to an end!
